MY NAME IS ALESSIA, AND I’M A VIDEO EDITOR
I'm a 27 year-old video editor based in Rome with a very clear end goal: to edit trailers and marketing material for cinematic release. Here you’ll find some of my official work, but also some of what led me to loving editing in the first place: “fan-edits” and speculative trailers.
I think fandoms can be a very healthy space for passions to develop and I’ve made it a point to re-connect with that side of editing in my twenties… I think my younger self might’ve been onto something!
La Mantide (2026), directed by Lorenzo Mecozzi
“La Mantide” is a fashion film that explores the journey of the protagonist through her own imagination. In her mind, the path unfolds through symbolic rooms, impossible worlds, hybrid creatures, and surreal visions. The narrative structure, non-linear and suspended in time, explores dreams, memory, fears and desires as part of an inner landscape. A mantis, a constant presence and silent guide, accompanies the passage through this imagined world.
